MISSION STATEMENT (Proposed)

The Antelope Valley Adult School will offer all students a safe supportive environment that promotes their personal and academic growth, supports their efforts to become productive citizens and encourages them to be life-long learners.

STUDENTS WILL BE:

1. Effective Communicators who:

Express themselves through oral, written and technical skills
Follow verbal and written directions
Demonstrate effective listening and comprehension skill

2. Critical and Creative Thinkers who:

Assess, analyze, research and evaluate information
Demonstrate effective problem solving
Be effective decision makers

3. Active and Responsible Citizens who:

Develop their social and interpersonal skills
Acquire employability and workforce skills
Contribute to the community

4. Life-Long Learners who:

Plan, set and meet realistic goals
Continue pursuit of personal development
Develop technology and technical skills
